This past Saturday we had a wonderful Friend Day celebration which was held at the historic 100-year-old Karuizawa Union Church (about 15 minutes from SYME). The inside of the auditorium looks very much like Pine Pavilion on WOL island in Schroon Lake, NY. Four students (who had attended SYME in Korea for six months) graduated. Miss Wendy Williamson (International Student Coordinator at WOL Bible Institute in Pottersville, NY) was on hand to give out the awards. We completed this term with 21 students. Everything went extremely well. Our guest teachers this term were David and Annie Jones from McAllen, Texas; D.J. Moon from Findlay, OH and Brian Newby from Hudson, Florida. After the Friend Day celebration was completed we ate lunch together and had an open house back at SYME. Please pray for more Japanese students to come to our September term in Japan. And pray for teachers to come for our August-September term in Korea (as we recently have had three teachers cancel).
