for everyone
11:10AM This morning during a coffee break I had the opportunity to talk with Dave Robertson. From age 2-6 Dave lived in Japan and learned to speak and sing in Japanese. His father, Robbie Robertson was with the Pocket Testament League(PTL). From 1950-1954 during the Korean War Robbie took 6-week trips to Korea to pass out thousands and thousands of the copy of the Gospel of John to Korean soldiers. He was in Korea for six weeks, then Japan for six weeks and he did this repeatedly. Dave's sister was born in Japan. When Jack Wyrtzen came to Japan, Robbie went with him.

Dave has recently been asked to be the WOL Regional Director for Africa. Previous to this Dave and his wife Trudy spent 33 years in Kenya. Now Chris Mwalwa is the field director for WOL in Kenya.

Now Dave is in Bloomfield, NJ. He says he will have 7 core responsibilities with WOL. He will mainly be working with the directors in the five countries of Africa that WOL is presently in (Nigeria, Ghana, S. Africa, Uganda, Kenya). There are also 14 new African countries that WOL has targeted to be in by 2010. The ones that we are focused on now are Tananzia, Malawi, and Mozambique (connected with WOL Brazil).

I asked Dave what he enjoyed most about Kenya during his 33 years there. Dave answered that he enjoyed the people the most. They are so warm, friendly and open. He shared that it doesn't take a very long time to build friendships. Kenyans love to talk, tell stories, and they are so giving even if they have little. Here you can see a picture of Dave, his wife Trudy and Chris Mwalwa.

Hi People, I would just like to make an introduce myself to everyone at Multiply...Your profile is fantastic! Usually when I visit other profiles, I just come across rubbish, but this time I was really surprised, finding a helpful profile containing great information and entertaining. Thanks people and keep the brilliant effort up.
